Making an Impact

"JPMA Cares is such a special initiative because it helps one of the world's most vulnerable populations: babies," said Jennifer Mitchell, former JPMA chairman of the board and the founding chair of JPMA Cares.

"The work we are doing to amplify existing national and international efforts, provide program-specific products and education, and contribute on a micro level to those in need is making a real, tangible impact on the lives of babies and young children all over the world, consistent with the spirit and culture of our industry."

Contributing to Communities

In 2022, JPMA Cares coordinated donations of over 4,200 safety products such as play yards, wearable blankets, car seats, home safety items, and more for trauma sites around the country to distribute on National Injury Prevention Day.

Improving Outcomes

In May 2022, JPMA Cares hosted a service activity in which volunteers packed home safety kits with products donated by JPMA member companies and then distributed them to Family Promise, a partner organization dedicated to lifting up families experiencing homelessness.

The value of the donated products totaled $214,455, and the home safety kits will benefit approximately 3,000 families through Family Promise Affiliates in Shenandoah and Roanoke, Virginia. In addition, JPMA Cares volunteers created “Welcome Home” cards for the families receiving the home safety kits.
